Spring – Saturday before Memorial Day
Fall – First Saturday in October

The Spring and Fall craft fairs, sponsored by the Heart of Vermont Chamber of Commerce, have been a tradition of the greater Hardwick community for close to 30 years. It’s not unusual to see a family group of three (or even four) generations browsing the exhibits. The mix of both established and new crafters makes for a well-rounded selection with something for everyone.

The spring event is held outdoors at Atkins Field on Granite Street in Hardwick as part of the long running Kiwanis Spring Festival. Rain or shine, vendors display their wares under brightly colored tents. The craft fair begins early in the day, but just before noon vendors and visitors alike take time to watch the annual parade as it travels from Main Street down past the fairgrounds. Across the street from the crafters are the displays of the Agricultural Fair, the Carnival rides and, of course, the food vendors. It’s a wonderful family day hailed by many locals as the best day of the year!

The Fall Festival Craft Fair is held in the Hardwick Elementary School Gymnasium. With its convenient center of town location, 50+ vendors, and festive decorations of balloons and fall flowers, this event is the perfect kick-off for the Holiday shopping season; you can find candles, quilts, photographs, glassware, woodworking, fiber art, and more. Shopping can be hungry work and we wouldn’t want you to miss a chance to relax and have lunch…there’s great homemade food, homemade soup and cinnamon buns….and don’t forget the fudge table for a treat on the way home. You can even pick up dinner to go at the Kiwanis Chicken BBQ (right outside the main entrance).

Be sure to put these two annual events on your calendar!

New vendors are always welcome.
